Narrator: On this week’s episode of International House Hunter’s we’ll be traveling from the capitol city of the state of Louisiana across the Atlantic to the capitol city of the country of Denmark. Helping our couple will be Patience. Born in the States Patience has been in Copenhagen for almost 30 years and has an intimate familiarity with the real estate scene. Today Patience has put together three possibilities.

The first is in the popular neighborhood of Østerbro, an area full of both shops and green spaces.

SM: Great location! I can practically walk to work.

Rena: Um, is this it? There’re, like, three tiny rooms. We asked for three *bedrooms.*

Narrator: The second, still in the Østerbro area.

Rena: I like this. Two bedrooms but an extra room that could be another living room or a bedroom. Next to the park, walking distance to shops, cafes. It’s even on the ground floor. This close to the football stadium means my brother will definitely visit.

SM: It’s a great place, I agree. But it’s a little farther out than the other one.

Rena: Yeah, but that other one is really not in the running.

Narrator: The last is a place in Charlottelund just north of the tony expat enclave of Hellerup.

SM and Rena: WOW.

Rena: This place is almost as big as our house in the States!

SM: It’s got a wood burning fireplace and a nice balcony.

Rena: Two bathrooms, four (4!) bedrooms, the view is of the park next door, and it’s walking distance to the sea. There is a whole apartment for guests!

SM: Unfortunately, it’s not exactly walking distance to work. It’s twice the commute of the other two.

Rena: You’re right. We are definitely in the burbs.

SM: And Patience said this place is only available for 18 months. Then the owners are returning to take it over.
