Who: I am a Black American Non-Immigrant woman, an introvert, a wife, and mom to a toddler. In my forties I am a bit of a nerd, writer and an avid reader. I like to create things, travel, cook, and eat. Especially eat. My politics run left and my relationship with God is personal. All of these things and more will find their way onto these pages.
What: I’ve always written. Diaries, short stories, dreams, reviews, and several (failed attempts at) novels. I’m neither a journalist nor a therapist. I’m certainly not a scientist. But I have long been fascinated with why we are the way we are.
When: When we found out we were moving to Denmark I went online searching for other people like me who had the same or similar experiences. I found not a whole lot. And a blog was born.
Where: Denmark was our second expat gig but everything about it was unlike our previous expat experience in Korea. Our time in Denmark may be over, but our adventures are not.
We are back in Louisiana and, once again, we are finding ourselves.
How: This is where I tell you why you should read this blog and how this blog will help you. Being in groups and following people in like situations; people on similar pilgrimages; people who have achieved the things that I want to achieve gives me hope. They make me feel that my goals are possible. It is my hope that by inviting you on my journey I do the same for you.
